So, how does Viagra work? How does it help with sex?

Whenever you become sexually aroused, your body produces a chemical called nitric oxide, which is released into your penis. Nitric oxide helps blood flow into the blood vessels in your penis and maintain pressure, causing an erection. However, there is also an enzyme called "Phosphodiesterase type 5" (PDE5) in the penis that can prevent an erection by breaking down the chemicals involved in the process. There are many reasons for erectile dysfunction.

Viagra contains a compound called Sildenafil Citrate, which is a PDE5 inhibitor. This means Viagra blocks the enzyme that prevents an erection and also helps relax the blood vessels and muscles in the penis. This results in increased blood flow and pressure in the penis, leading to an erection.

However, it’s important to note that sexual arousal is necessary for Viagra to work effectively. Viagra enhances blood flow but does not cause sexual arousal on its own.
