Is Movicol bad for kidneys?

MOVICOL® can be used by patients with renal insufficiency with no need to adjust the dose. The MOVICOL® range contains no sucrose (sugar). (Some varieties contain acesulfame potassium and/or sucralose, which are sweeteners not known to affect blood sugar).

How many Movicol Can I take a day?

A dose of 8 sachets a day of Movicol is needed for the treatment of faecal impaction. Each sachet dissolved in 125ml (1/4 pint) of water. The 8 sachets should be taken within 6 hours for up to 3 days if required. If you have a heart condition, do not take more than 2 sachets in any one hour.

Can I take Movicol every day?

Movicol ready-to-take sachets ️ To treat constipation you can take two sachets up to three times a day, depending on how bad your constipation is. ️ You should drink the medicine straight from the sachet - there is no need to dilute it. Like all medicines, Movicol Lemon-Lime can have side effects. Sometimes people have indigestion, stomach ache or rumbles.
