Is a single dose of Potby sufficient?
No, a single dose may not be sufficient. However, with only a few doses of Potby you may get relief with the symptoms. Potby is usually needed only for a short term or upto 2 weeks for heartburn, indigestion, acid reflux. However, if need arises, such as for treating peptic ulcer disease and Zollinger Ellison syndrome (ZES), Potby may be prescribed for a long term duration as well. Please consult your doctor if you do not feel better even after taking Potby regularly for 2 weeks as prescribed.

However, it is important to know that, using Carzec class of medicines (beta blockers) may hide the symptoms of hypoglycemia (decrease in glucose levels), especially increase in heart beat or palpitations. In addition to that, Carzec may cause worsening of hyperglycaemia (increase in blood glucose levels) in patients with heart failure and diabetes. Hence, it is recommended that blood glucose should be monitored while initiating, adjusting, or discontinuing the dose of Carzec. Inform the doctor if there is any change in blood glucose levels during Carzec therapy.
