The dosage and administration of it depend on the formulation used. For Alpha/beta Arteether in adults, it is administered through intramuscular injection for three consecutive days. While it is effective against malaria, it may have some side effects. Possible cardiac effects include bradycardia and QT interval prolongation. Neurotoxicity has been observed in animal studies.
