Amlokind-L Tablet

Introduction

Amlokind-L Tablet is a combination of two drugs used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It helps to lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and allowing easier blood flow.

Losartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that constricts blood vessels, thus lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing easier blood flow and reducing the workload on the heart.

This medication may cause dizziness or lightheadedness, so rise slowly when getting up from a sitting or lying position to avoid falling. Usually taken orally once a day, with or without food, as directed by your doctor.

Patients prescribed it should adhere to their healthcare provider's recommendations regarding dosage and duration of treatment.

It is crucial to report any persistent symptoms or adverse effects promptly.

How it works

Losartan and Amlodipine are two medications that effectively lower blood pressure. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), while Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). Both of them work by relaxing the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body.
