It is strongly advised against discontinuing the use of Itrocol before completing the full course of treatment Ceasing the medication prematurely may result in an incomplete eradication of the fungal infection leaving it susceptible to recurrence The typical duration for the disappearance of nail lesions caused by fungal infections ranges from 6 to 9 months This is due to the fact that after the medication eliminates the fungus it takes several months for a new healthy nail to grow in its place It is important to note that lack of noticeable improvement during the course of treatment should not be a cause for concern Fungal infections particularly of the nails require patience and persistence in order to achieve a complete resolution Therefore it is crucial to adhere to the prescribed treatment plan until the recommended duration has been completed ensuring the maximum effectiveness of Itrocol in treating the fungal infection and preventing future relapses
