What is Omnicef AZ Forte used for?
Omnicef AZ Forte is a fixed-dose combination of two antibiotics and is used to treat patients with bacterial infections. Cefixime is used to treat infections of the ear, lung, throat and urinary tract. Azithromycin is useful in the treatment of ear infections, strep throat, pneumonia, travelers diarrhea (loose stools and stomach cramps while traveling). Together they can be used to treat infections of the upper respiratory tract (typhoid and pneumonia), urinary tract and sexually transmitted diseases.
Can the use of Omnicef AZ Forte cause diarrhea?
Yes, the use of Omnicef AZ Forte can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, talk to your doctor about it.
What special precautions should I follow while taking Zisan CF?
Before taking Zisan CF tell your doctor if you are allergic to the medicine, or have kidney or liver disease. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, are planning a baby or are breastfeeding.
Can I stop taking Zisan CF when I feel better?
No, do not stop taking Zisan CF and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
