How do you use calcipotriol ointment?
Calcipotriol Ointment 50micrograms/g should be applied to the affected skin on limbs or trunk once or twice daily. At the beginning of treatment, twice daily (morning and evening) application is recommended. For maintenance therapy, the frequency of application may be decreased to once daily, depending on the response.

What is Sorvate ointment ointment?
Sorvate ointment is a form of vitamin D. Sorvate ointment topical (for the skin) is used to treat plaque psoriasis (raised, silvery flaking of the skin) in adults and children at least 2 years old. Sorvate ointment topical is not for use in treating severe forms of psoriasis (with pus, skin peeling, severe redness).

What is the use of Sorvate ointment?
Sorvate Ointment is used for treatment of inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis. It works on extra skin cells which may build up and form scales of the skin. This medicine slows down the growth of these cells and also decreases the activity of immune cells in the skin.

What precautions do I need to take while using Sorvate?
Be careful not to get Sorvate into your eyes or mouth. If you happen to get it in your eyes, rinse off with plenty of water immediately and contact your doctor. You must not use Sorvate if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients. Tell your doctor if you notice any allergic reaction while using it for the first time. Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines regularly to prevent any allergic reaction with other medicines. Do not cover the area being treated with Sorvate with a bandage, as this may increase absorption of this medicine and increase the side effects. Do not use more than what is recommended to relieve your symptoms faster. Using more than what is advised will only increase the side effects. Let your doctor know if you are planning to conceive. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should use Sorvate only if prescribed by the doctor.

Is Sorvate effective?
Sorvate is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Sorvate too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.

How to use Sorvate?
Before using Sorvate, clean and dry the affected area. Gently and thoroughly massage it into the skin. Be careful not to get the medication in your eyes or mouth. If Sorvate gets in your eyes accidentally, wash with plenty of water and call your doctor if your eyes are irritated.
