What are beta blockers used for?
Beta blockers work by blocking the effects of the hormone epinephrine, also known as adrenaline. Beta blockers cause your heart to beat more slowly and with less force, which lowers blood pressure. Beta blockers also help open up your veins and arteries to improve blood flow.

What is the difference between Metoprolol Succinate and Prolante?
Metoprolol Succinate is an extended-release form of Metoprolol. This means it is released into your body slowly and only needs to be taken once a day. Prolante, on the other hand, is available as an immediate-release tablet. It doesn’t stay in your body as long as Metoprolol Succinate does. Hence, multiple doses in a day may be required.
