Foracort 400 Rotacap is a combination inhaler that contains two medicines It is used to relieve the longterm symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease COPD making it easier to breathe This inhaler works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation and swelling while also relaxing the muscles in the airways One of the medicines in Foracort 400 Rotacap is formoterol which is a longacting bronchodilator It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways thereby widening them and allowing easier airflow The other medicine budesonide is a steroid It works by stopping the release of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation and swelling of the airways Together these medicines help to improve breathing When using Rotacaps it is important not to swallow them You should carefully read and follow the directions on the label before use To use the inhaler place the capsule at the base of the rotahaler not in the mouthpiece Then twist the mouthpiece completely until you hear a click Next breathe in deeply through the mouthpiece and hold your breath for up to 10 seconds If there is still powder remaining in the rotahaler after inhalation you can repeat the process as needed
