How do you give a vitamin D shot?
For parenteral dosage forms (injection): Adults and teenagers—At first, 0.5 mcg injected into a vein three times a week. Your doctor may change your dose if needed. Children—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.

Is 60000 IU vitamin D safe?
Vitamin D deficiency can be easily corrected by Vitamin D supplementation or some lifestyle changes. In a vitamin D deficient person, oral 60,000 IU per week for 8 weeks followed by maintenance dose of 60,000 IU per month is a reasonably safe method to correct the deficiency.
