Can I stop taking Cata-Dict abruptly?
You should not stop Cata-Dict without consulting your doctor. Stopping its use suddenly has caused nervousness, agitation, headache, and uncontrollable shaking of a part of the body in some people. You must consult your doctor before stopping Cata-Dict. The doctor will gradually decrease the dose over 2 to 4 days.

Is Cata-Dict used for anxiety? What are its other uses?
No, Cata-Dict is not used for anxiety. But, it has been reported that the use of Cata-Dict may cause anxiety as a side effect in some cases. Cata-Dict may also be used in the treatment of dysmenorrhea (severely painful cramps during menstrual period), menopausal hot flashes. It also helps in alcohol and opiate (narcotic) withdrawal and smoking cessation. The use of Cata-Dict also treats Tourettes syndrome which is characterized by the need to perform repeated motions or to repeat sounds or words. Cata-Dict is also used to diagnose pheochromocytoma (a tumor that develops on a gland near the kidneys and may cause high blood pressure and fast heart rate).

What happens if I take too much of Cata-Dict?
Taking more than prescribed Cata-Dict can be dangerous and may even be life threatening. In overdose, it can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure and heart rate. If someone has taken too much of Cata-Dict, rush them to the nearest emergency room or hospital.
