How long can you take mesalamine?
In this study, the long-term safety and tolerability of mesalamine granules (MG) therapy was evaluated in the maintenance of UC remission. Previous prospective studies evaluating different oral mesalamine formulations have not exceeded a duration of 14 months.
How should I use Pentavip?
Pentavip should be used exactly as directed by your doctor. The tablets should be swallowed as a whole with water do not break, crush, or chew them. Remember to drink adequate fluids to remain well hydrated, especially after severe or prolonged episodes of vomiting and/or diarrhea, high fever, or heavy sweating while taking this medicine. This is done to avoid kidney problems.
