How it works
Rosuvastatin is a type of medicine that lowers lipids (fats) in the blood. It works by stopping an enzyme that the body needs to make cholesterol. This helps reduce "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while increasing "good" cholesterol (HDL).
How to take
Follow your doctor's instructions about how much and how long to take. Swallow the tablet whole. You can take it with or without food but try to take it at the same time every day.
Possible side effects include muscle aches, headaches, and nausea. Tell your doctor if you have any unusual symptoms, especially muscle pain or weakness.
