Prilox Cream is a topical medication that provides temporary numbing effects to the skin and the surrounding area It is important to use the cream as prescribed by your doctor following the recommended dosage and duration Prilox Cream is meant for external use only so make sure to clean and dry the affected area before applying the medication It is recommended to apply a thin layer of the cream and gently rub it onto the skin creating a layer of about 23mm For added protection you can cover the area with an occlusive dressing Keep the dressing on for a minimum of 2 hours before any scheduled treatment or surgery Be cautious not to get the cream into your eyes or mouth In case of accidental exposure rinse the affected area thoroughly with water The most common side effects of Prilox Cream are typically related to the application site These may include a burning sensation irritation itching redness and rashes However these side effects are usually temporary and resolve on their own If these side effects persist or become bothersome for a longer duration it is advised to consult with your doctor
