Prilido Cream functions by temporarily numbing the skin and the surrounding area It is important to follow your doctors instructions regarding the recommended dosage and duration of use This medication is intended for external use only Before applying the cream ensure that the affected area is clean and dry Gently rub a thin layer of the cream onto the skin creating a layer of approximately 23mm For added protection apply an occlusive dressing over the cream Leave the dressing on for at least 2 hours prior to any scheduled treatment or surgery Avoid contact with your eyes or mouth and if accidental exposure occurs rinse thoroughly with water The most commonly reported side effects of this medication are reactions at the application site such as a burning sensation irritation itching redness and rashes However these side effects are usually temporary and will resolve on their own If these symptoms persist or become bothersome for an extended period please consult your doctor
