The Paliris 3 Tablet ER can be taken with or without food However it is recommended to take it at the same time every day to maintain a consistent level of the medicine in your body Follow the dosage and duration as prescribed by your doctor and if you happen to miss a dose take it as soon as you remember It is important not to abruptly stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor as doing so may worsen your symptoms However if you experience Neuroleptic malignant syndrome NMS characterized by symptoms such as fever muscle rigidity and altered consciousness discontinue the medicine immediately There are some common side effects associated with this medicine including nystagmus involuntary eye movement and tremors It may also cause dizziness and drowsiness so refrain from activities that require mental focus such as driving until you know how the medicine affects you If you are using this medicine exercise caution as it may increase the risk of developing diabetes It is advisable to monitor your glucose levels regularly Inform your doctor if you experience any unusual changes in mood or behavior new or worsening depression or have suicidal thoughts while taking this medication
