Cetil-CV 500 Tablet 10s

Introduction

Cetil-CV 500 Tablet 10s contains Cefuroxime, combined with Clavulanic Acid, which forms an antibiotic regimen effective against a range of bacterial infections. This combination is particularly useful in treating conditions caused by bacteria like pneumonia, streptococcus pyogenes, streptococcus agalactia, and streptococcus bovis.

Cefuroxime operates by hindering the bacteria's ability to form cell walls, which are essential for their survival. This action effectively kills or stops the growth of bacteria.

Clavulanic Acid plays a supportive role by reducing the bacteria's resistance to antibiotics, thus enhancing the effectiveness of Cefuroxime.

It can be taken with or without food, but it's advised to take it at a consistent time each day for optimal results. It should be swallowed whole without crushing, chewing, or breaking it.

Some common side effects may occur, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and headache.

History of liver or kidney diseases should exercise caution and discuss their medical history with their doctor.

If you miss a dose of this medication, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule.

How it works

Clavulanic Acid as a superhero that permanently stops a sneaky enzyme, beta-lactamase, which bacteria use to defend themselves. It's like catching the villain and not letting them escape. Now, imagine Cefuroxime as another hero. It disrupts the bacteria's construction crew, making the cell walls swell and burst. Together, these heroes form a powerful team – Clavulanic Acid locks up the bacterial defense, and Cefuroxime wrecks their construction site, making it nearly impossible for bacteria to survive in the body.
