Extralube Eye Drop is typically used on an asneeded basis Follow your doctors instructions on the number of drops to use Allow at least 510 minutes to pass before using any other eye medication in the same eye to prevent dilution Do not use a bottle if the seal is broken prior to opening it Always wash your hands and avoid touching the droppers tip to prevent eye infection This medication may be used longterm and can be safely taken for as long as necessary The most common side effects of using this medication include temporary eye irritation such as burning discomfort pain itching and visual disturbance If these side effects persist or worsen inform your doctor Avoid driving operating machinery or engaging in activities that require clear vision until you are confident in your ability to do so safely If your condition does not improve or if you experience bothersome side effects consult your doctor This medication is unlikely to interact with other medicines you may be using However inform your doctor if you have a history of glaucoma Do not use this medication while wearing soft contact lenses and consult your doctor if you develop an eye infection while using it
