Emtee 25mcg Tablet is prescribed either on its own or in combination with other medications to maximize its benefits It is important to take this medication with food or as directed by your doctor The tablets should be swallowed whole with a drink of water If you experience vomiting within 30 minutes of taking the tablet inform your doctor or take another tablet It may take up to 24 hours for the medication to start showing its effects and you may experience bleeding as a result The most commonly reported side effects of this medication include nausea vomiting uterine cramps diarrhea infection following an abortion and uterine bleeding If these side effects bother you or appear to be severe it is important to inform your doctor They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or prevent these side effects Normally vaginal bleeding may persist for up to 12 days If it lasts for more than 12 days or if you experience severe abdominal pain you should inform your doctor Before taking this medication inform your doctor if you have had an ectopic pregnancy in the past if you are breastfeeding or if you are using an intrauterine device Your doctor should also be aware of all other medications you are taking as some of them may reduce the effectiveness of this medication or alter its mechanism of action It is important to avoid strenuous activities such as heavy exercise running and driving while undergoing an abortion as these activities can affect the bleeding Your doctor may perform an ultrasound or pelvic examination to ensure that the abortion is complete
