Common side effects include dry mouth, chest pain, dizziness, fainting, extreme tiredness, skin rash, and breast pain and tenderness.

Domperidone has been linked to an increased risk of serious ventricular arrhythmias, including potentially life threatening arrhythmias like torsades de pointes. It is advised to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration, especially in individuals with preexisting heart conditions or those taking medications that prolong the QT interval. In cases of severe renal impairment, the dosage of it may need adjustment, as its elimination may be prolonged in individuals with impaired kidney function.

In case of a missed dose, take it when remembered. However, if the next dose is approaching, it is advisable to skip the missed one to maintain the regular medication schedule.
