Cheerfol tablet is given to pregnant women in order to prevent birth defect in the baby (particularly in brain and spine) and to facilitate proper growth.
HOW CHEERFOL TABLET WORKS?
Cheerful tablet is the combination of two active ingredients:
- Methylfolate is an activated form of vitamin B which is essential for making new cells in the baby. It is important during pregnancy because it helps in preventing serious birth defects of the brain and spine in the baby.
- Choline also plays an important role in the brain development of the baby. It is recommended in pregnancy to improve brain functioning of the baby.
HOW TO TAKE THIS MEDICINE?
- Take the tablets orally, and as instructed by your doctor.
- You can take it with or without food.
- Make sure you don't increase the amount prescribed without consulting your doctor.
- Follow your doctor's instructions carefully to make sure you're using it correctly.

It has very few side effects including :
- Rash
- Itching
- Swelling
- Dizziness
- Diarrhea
