Candid-V has no effect on the sex drive or desire. However, it is advised to avoid vaginal intercourse as long as you are using Candid-V. This is because Candid-V will not be able to prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. Also, the medicine may damage the condoms and diaphragms and hence you may need other forms of contraception.

What precautions are necessary while using Candid-V?

Candid-V should not be used during menstruation as the cream will get washed off with blood flow. Track the menstrual cycle and make sure that the treatment is completed before the onset of menstruation. Do not use tampons, vaginal douches (washing the vagina with water or other fluids), spermicide (a contraceptive substance that destroys sperm) or other vaginal products while using Candid-V.
