Does BP-Tel work by causing excessive urination?
No BPTel does not cause an abnormal increase in urination and is not classified as a diuretic medication The mechanism of action of BPTel involves the relaxation of blood vessels through the inhibition of angiotensin II Unlike diuretics which promote the excretion of fluids and electrolytes through increased urine output BPTel acts on blocking the effects of angiotensin II a substance that constricts blood vessels and elevates blood pressure By interfering with angiotensin II BPTel helps to widen the blood vessels allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing high blood pressure This unique mode of action distinguishes BPTel from diuretics which primarily aim to eliminate excess fluid and reduce blood volume Therefore it is important to note that BPTel does not induce excessive urination and is not classified as a diuretic medication
