Introduction to Ormalin 30 Tablet
Ormalin 30 Tablet is primarily used for contraception and the management of menstrual disorders like heavy menstrual bleeding.
It exhibits both estrogenic and antiestrogenic activities, depending on the tissue type In the uterus, it acts as an antiestrogen, altering the endometrium (uterine lining) and thus preventing implantation.
It can be taken with or without food, but consistency in the timing of the dose each week is crucial for maintaining its efficacy.
Side effects such as delayed menstruation, weight gain, mild nausea, or breast tenderness.
Women with a history of hormonal-sensitive cancers, severe liver disease, or those who are pregnant should avoid using Centchroman. It is also not recommended for women who are breastfeeding.
In case of a missed dose, it should be taken as soon as remembered. However, if it's close to the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
