It contains the active ingredient Polmacoxib (2mg) and belongs to the category of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is primarily prescribed for the treatment of osteoarthritis affecting the knee and hip joints.It works by inhibiting specific enzymes involved in the production of prostaglandins, thereby reducing inflammation-associated symptoms such as pain, stiffness, and redness.

 

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint condition characterized by the gradual breakdown of joint cartilage and the underlying bone. Weight-bearing joints like the knees and hips are frequently affected. As the cartilage wears away, bones may rub against each other, leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced joint flexibility.
