What is the use of Clidinium bromide?
This medication is a combination of 2 drugs, clidinium and chlordiazepoxide. It is used along with other medications to help treat stomach/intestinal disorders (such as ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, bowel infections). Clidinium helps to reduce the symptoms of stomach and intestinal cramping.
What is Normaxin RT?
Normaxin RT is a combination of four medicines: Chlordiazepoxide, Clidinium, Dicyclomine and Rabeprazole which treat irritable bowel syndrome. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Clidinium and Dicyclomine are antispasmodic medicines which relax the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). They stop sudden muscle contractions (spasms) which in turn relieves cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach.
Can the use of Normaxin RT cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Normaxin RT can cause dizziness as it can cause a sudden fall in the blood pressure. This happens mostly when there is a change in the posture like when you rise up from a sitting or lying position. This sudden fall in the blood pressure can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, sensation of spinning and vertigo. In this condition it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.
Can the use of Normaxin RT cause dryness in mouth?
Yes, the use of Normaxin RT can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry.
